Summer Dresses 2019

I am such a convert to dresses for the Summer. As soon as the weather starts to get warmer I seem to add a few new ones to my wardrobe. Over the years I have amassed quite a collection but I get so much wear out of them I don’t tend to suffer from buyer’s remorse.

I have bought two dresses so far this year – one by my beloved D’Ascoli and another by All Things Mochi.

I fell in love with this purple and green floral/tie-dye combo when I first saw it on D’Ascoli’s Instagram last year Β and the wonderful Stefanie from Marie & Lola let me pre-order it from the Lookbook (you know you’re in trouble when that happens!). I am so thrilled with it and have worn it twice already.

The rainbow All Things Mochi dress was also on my radar long before I bought it and I was lucky to snap it up in the Brown’s Fashion private sale. The only downside to this one is that it is clearly designed for a someone very tall so I need to get it taken up. I can’t wait to wear it – the colours are amazing.

I love these dresses as they are both really comfortable; they have sleeves (and pockets) which means they’re warm enough to wear in the UK and they look equally good with heels, flats or trainers.

I am a firm believer in not saving things ‘for best’ or special occasions otherwise I will never wear them. A lot of dresses look good with flats or trainers which means they’re so much more wearable in the day.

Here’s my pick of the dresses this season some of which are in the sales (click on image for link):

Under Β£200

Under Β£400

Under Β£600

I am always on the lookout for dresses and they’re a great item to buy in the sales as they can be expensive. It’s important to only buy ones that are comfortable and not panic-buy for a particular occasion, as this rarely turns out well in terms of longevity in your wardrobe.

Personally, I love any dress that makes me feel great.
