Winter Sales Picks

Wow! Where did 2018 go? I didn’t even write my party-wear post!Although in truth I stuck to my all-time classic of black fitted trousers/J Brand leather pants and silk shirt variations.

As for the sales – I’ve only bought two things, which I’m feeling rather angelic about. I’ve decided that I need to be more mindful about the way I shop; so less frivolous quick-fixes. I want to really think about what I need in my wardrobe to work with what I already own and have decided this year I need to start buying less and focus more on grown-up pieces (ok, the pink jumper doesn’t count!) that will have more longevity in my wardrobe. However that doesn’t mean there won’t be my usual array of fun items on here!

My sales picks are as follows:

Under £200

As the sales started in December, there are some real bargains to be had so if you find something you like, be sure to shop around.

I bought the ATP flat sandals in white last year which I love and am so tempted by this colour at this price. I love the sleek minimalism of them and they look great with cropped jeans or trousers and other basics (although I admit they are somewhat of a Marmite shoe).

Under £400

I can’t believe these gorgeous D’Ascoli silk dresses are in the sale! These were some of my best purchases last year and I can’t wait to start wearing them again.

I bought the pink Ganni jumper in the sale as I had, had my eye on it for quite some time. So many shops have tried to copy these but the original is still the best and pink is set to be big (again) for 2019.

Under £600

My other sale buy was this rust Jonathan Simkai blazer – I was extremely fortunate to get the last one in the Selfridges sale for £200! It’s just what I wanted – a great basic and real wardrobe workhorse but with a twist. I love the slightly A-line shape, unusual colour and details.

£600 Plus

Writing these sales posts when there are such massive discounts is so hard!

I have caved (surprise, surprise!) and ordered the orange silk D’Ascoli dress as it’s one of my favourite colours – plus, prints are in this year and I know it’ll be in my wardrobe for many years.
