My Summer Buys

Summer is definitely the worst season for my shopaholic tendencies,  purely because I get tempted by all the bright colours and this Summer has been no exception. My most recent buy has been this pair of rainbow trainers by Gucci:

IMG_0715I still can’t get over how fabulous they are! As with most Gucci shoes they are extremely comfy so I know I’ll get a good price per wear out of them. I bought these from Net-A-Porter but they are also available at Matches Fashion if you can’t find your size.

Continuing the rainbow theme I also bought this amazing Sara Battaglia bag in the Net-A-Porter sale:

These pieces just make me happy even on the drabbest day. Another sale buy I’m really pleased with are these Dolce & Gabbana earrings:

I was fortunate enough to find these in the sale at Matches Fashion but they have since sold out (one last pair here but not on sale).

My greatest bargain finds have been these beauties from Zara:

Unfortunately the gold ones are nearly sold out (they also come in navy blue here) – they are such a great colour with a tan it’s not surprising. The diamanté ones (in stock) are a bit wider and both are true to size.

Also on the high street I managed to find these button-down dresses:

These are from Urban Outfitters. I love a dress with pockets and buttons and these are great for holidays when you don’t want to put too much thought into what you’re going to wear. It is worth trying these on instore however as some of the seams around the boobs are a bit weird! Also the white dress is more of a cream colour. It’s so comfy I would actually buy it in more colours if they had some brighter ones (it also comes in gingham although these are nearly sold out).

I’ve also added another long-sleeved dress to my wardrobe as I seem to be getting bitten by mosquitoes at lot more than I used too, and covering up whilst still looking chic is sometimes a necessity.

This is by Loveshackfancy from Net-A-Porter.

I’ve also discovered a couple of new brands that I haven’t been aware of before after a visit to Lulu’s boutique at Babington House. Here I bought a pair of really fun cacti-print trousers and a great dress:

The trousers are from Otto d’Ame and are perfect for traveling with their pyjama-like qualities, insane print and elasticated waist.

The dress only comes in one size and is by Soul Kathrine – it’s quite floaty so when it’s not so hot I like to wear mine with a belt. The colours, print and sleeves are just gorgeous.

Lastly I’ve added to my basic tee collection as each year I end up having to throw some out. My favourite brand for these is Velvet by Graham & Spencer:

I tend to size up one or two sizes as I like a loose fit in the Summer. I really adore this citrus colour (which is in the sale).

What have you bought recently?
