Well, so much for ‘being good’ on the shopping front. When it comes to the sales all good intentions go out the window – my online shopping bags are too easily filled and the ‘Proceed to Puchase’ button pressed. Damn internet shopping – it’s way too easy!
Throughout the seasons I go about adding things to my online wishlists in the hope that eventually some of it will reach the sales. I generally try not to buy things full price so this policy tends to work quite well (if I can hold back for so long!).
This season it has worked a little too well in that practically half of the things on my wishlists have gone on sale!
When sales shopping I find it’s the bags and shoes that go first, so they are always the first things to go in my shopping bag. You can probably tell from these pieces that I have my holidays in mind!
I’m definitely shopping for brights and prints right now! I also look out for my favourite designers whose pieces are normally eye-watering at full price (Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou, Aquazzura, Vilshenko, Stella Jean, Missoni – to name a few). It’s also a good time to snap up and replace cashmere and silk tops. I particularly like Tibi for silk tops and Npeal and Pure Collection for cashmere.
Clockwise from top left, Duro Olowu silk kimono, Etre Cecile flamingo jumper, Missoni kaftan and skirt , Jerome Dreyfuss leopard print bag, Mary Katrantzou cami, Mark Cross wave bag, Paula Cadematori bag, Pierre Hardy bag and Vilshenko cape.
I adore the bag designers above, they really transform the simplest outfit. I have not bought all these things but I am definitely salivating over them right now! It definitely pays to shop around as the prices and discounts are always changing. If I can help anyone find anything they’re after, I will!
What’s made it to your shopping bag this sale?
